Video Highlights of 2007 Renewables Transmission Summit

Over 200 leaders participated in the summit "Increasing Renewable Energy in the Western Grid" in Fort Collins, Colorado, on 27 and 28 September 2007, including Governors Bill Ritter (Colo.) and Dave Freudenthal (Wyo.), FERC Commissioner Jon Wellinghoff and Idaho PUC Commissioner Marsha Smith, along with utility presidents Paul Bonavia (Xcel Energy) and Pat Vincent (PNM). Representatives from the wind, solar, and geothermal industries, state and federal regulatory and technical agencies, transmission experts, and others convened to discuss the urgent need to build new transmission to bring renewable energy sources to market and help states and utilities achieve their renewable portfolio goals.
